Where can I take snowboard lessons?
Same answer. Snowboard lessons near Sacramento are at a resort ski and ride school, including Heavenly, Northstar, and Palisades. Land Park rents the snowboard, bindings, and boots, and does not teach the lesson.
What to rent
First-timer on the form.
Day rentals are ski or snowboard packages sized from the height, weight, shoe size, and ability you send. A snowboard rental is the board, bindings, and boots. On the request, set ability to First-timer. Demo rentals are high-performance skis for riders trying a setup before they buy, not the usual first-timer package.
Going all winter is a season lease, not a first-day rental. Lease packages are listed on the rentals page.

Wear a base layer, ski pants, and a winter jacket. The shop carries winter apparel, including winter jackets, from Helly Hansen, Spyder, Volcom, Scott, Boulder Gear, Fly Lo, and L1.
Gloves
Warm hands matter on a first day. Gloves in the shop are Hestra, Gordini, and Dakine.
Goggles and a helmet
Smith and Scott helmets and goggles are fitted in the store.

Use the rental window
The rental day begins at 1 pm the day before you use the equipment and ends before 12 noon the day after. The rental shop is open 1–5 pm daily.
Lay out what you wear
Base layer, ski pants, winter jacket, gloves, goggles, and a helmet. Winter apparel, gloves, goggles, and helmets are on the brands page.
Prep boots and your own gear
A snowboard rental is the board, bindings, and boots. Buying boots is a separate visit: a regular boot fit is no charge with a boot purchase. Already own skis or a board? Drop them at the tune shop.
